Scarlett Johansson Bids Farewell to Marvel Cinematic Universe
Actress Scarlett Johansson recently confirmed that she has no plans to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the future. Johansson, who first appeared as Black Widow in 2010's Iron Man 2, went on to star in several Avengers movies, as well as her own standalone movie in 2021, Black Widow. During an appearance on The Goop Podcast with fellow MCU alum Gwyneth Paltrow, Johansson reflected on her time in the franchise, describing it as "like an adult summer camp thing." She went on to say, "And it was cool. It was really, really some of the best experiences. I'm done. Yes, I'm done. Chapter is over. I did all that I had to do. Also, coming back and playing a character again and again like that, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience."
